Your professional English-speaking guide and private driver will greet you warmly before you step into a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. This relaxing, personalized private Bangkok to Maeklong transfer sets the tone for a day of discovery, history, and vibrant local experiences.

Maeklong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)

Your first stop is the legendary Maeklong Railway Market tour, also known as the Mae Klong Railway Market or Hoop Rom Market tour. Located right on the active railway line, this market is a marvel of coordination and tradition. Just before the train arrives, watch as local vendors swiftly fold in their umbrellas and pull back their displays—a thrilling moment that defines the market where train goes through. As the train passes just inches from the produce and onlookers, you’ll capture unforgettable photos of this rare and dramatic spectacle. After the train clears the tracks, you’ll walk through the vibrant market, sampling fresh fruits, Thai sweets, and chatting with vendors. This experience offers a raw and authentic glimpse into everyday life and remains one of the most famous train markets near Bangkok.

Visit Wat Phet Samuth Woravihan

Next, visit the serene and culturally significant Wat Phet Samuth Woravihan. This royal temple houses a towering golden Buddha and is deeply respected by local residents. Your guide will walk you through its quiet halls and explain its historical roots, allowing time for quiet reflection or photos. This peaceful pause between bustling markets adds a spiritual layer to your Thailand train market experience.

Wat Bang Kung

Afterward, head to Wat Bang Kung, one of Thailand’s most visually stunning and lesser-known temples. This sacred site is completely embraced by the roots of a sprawling banyan tree, giving it an almost mythical appearance. As your guide shares the story of its origins and historical military significance, you’ll feel a strong connection to the spiritual and historical depth that permeates Thai culture. Wat Bang Kung is a favorite hidden gem on any customizable Maeklong market day trip.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

From land to water, your tour continues to the colorful and bustling Damnoen Saduak Floating Market—a must-visit destination on any Maeklong and Damnoen Saduak floating market tour. Hop aboard a private longtail boat and cruise through winding canals lined with wooden houses and floating stalls. During your Maeklong Market tour with floating market, you’ll have the chance to shop directly from boats selling fresh coconut juice, Thai noodles, handmade crafts, and tropical fruits. The vibrant sights, sounds, and aromas of this floating market create an unforgettable Thailand unique market experience. This canal-side trading tradition showcases Thailand’s rich heritage in a way that’s both exciting and immersive.

Lunch and Return

After your boat ride, enjoy a delicious Thai lunch at a local riverside restaurant handpicked for authenticity and flavor. Relax in a peaceful setting while savoring traditional dishes, and reflect on the morning’s exciting moments. Your guide will be available to answer questions, share more stories, or assist with local tips and photos. Following lunch, your driver will take you back to Bangkok in comfort, arriving at your hotel around 3:00 PM. Great tour, would go again

Great tour. The guide is knowledgeable and friendly, the driver was professional, and the places we went to were fun and interesting. The entire time the guide made sure we were happy and translated for us in situations when we needed it. They also adjusted the tour to spend more time at the places we care about more (floating and railway markets), and less at the ones we didn't care about as much (the temples). Overall we were very happy with the experience.

Some companies are better than others!

This was an outstanding day out without a single hassle or worry. Our guide Miss Ketsiree was well spoken and informative and seemed to have an inside person at each stop that allowed us to be in the best position for great photos without any waits. Seeing everyone scrambling for good photo locations, we realized how well planned our trip was. We had prime spots at both locations. This was an added tour which turned out to be one of the best Bangkok tours. Tour was completely inclusive (except souvenirs) and the guide treated us to local treats to bring home. She provided us with fascinating insight into the different locales along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour company in particular to anyone that wants individual attention without any waits, hassles, tolls, fees, or any worries. Just show up and enjoy the rich culture..

Fun Day at Railway & Floating Markets

Great day with our guide Ketsiree. We had a private tour with our own car/driver and were picked up and dropped off right from our hotel lobby which was very convenient. She guided us to purchase a drink from one of the vendors at the train market which then gave us the ability to stand in front of their shop when the train came through so we had a great view. Good tip! This market was interesting to see because it's clearly a place the local community comes to purchase fish, vegetables, fruits, etc - not just a tourist thing. After the railway market, we visited a couple temples on our way to the floating market. Ketsiree was very helpful in explaining the Thai customs and relevant history at each of these sites. The boat ride at the floating market was a fun experience and we stopped at a few vendors to make some purchases right from our boat. Mostly tourists, but fun experience anyway. We had a nice Thai lunch right next to the floating market after the boat ride and returned back to Bangkok hotel by ~2pm. Thank you to Ketsiree and our driver for a fun day!.

Great day visit to floating markets.

My wife and I enjoyed spending our day (private tour) with our guide Gimao and driver Mr. Toey. It is a bit of a drive to the floating market and the traffic is always heavy, but worth the trip. Gimao provided ample stops along the way and intermediate activities to round out the day. She is a lovely young lady and was able to provide interesting perspectives to what we saw and daily life in Thailand. Returning to our Bangkok hotel at a reasonable time..

Touristy- but if you haven't seen you should

we went to see this - it began with a longtail boat ride in the back streets or klongs ( alley ways in he river) you see how many locals live. so it is quite interesting. the floating market is quite colorful , bu it is not really a serious trading place anymore, but gives you a great insight into how it truly was many years ago. dont get me wrong the items on the boat are for sale, but aimed at the tourists. one thing to be careful of is, DO not hold the sides of the boats with your hands - you could end up getting your fingers squashed in between the many baots,.

Ambreen was an excellent guide. She packed a LOT into one spectacular day. Drive to Floating Market and took private boat on a busy Sunday. Full of people from all over the world enjoying the local Thai foods, fruits, and arts and crafts. Then off to the Rose Garden in Sampan to walk the beautiful grounds by the river followed by an excellent lunch in the restaurant sitting beside a pond filled with carp breaking the surface of the water. Then we went to the Thai Cultural center after lunch to learn the bamboo dance, see how they make massage ointments, paint umbrellas, make elephants from clay, make a Thai dessert of bananas and coconut, watch vegetable carving, make flower arrangements and see a live show. Off we went to a crocodile show and then also and Elephant show before heading back to Bangkok. Lovely countryside on the way back.

This is a full day trip departing at 7 am and getting back to Bangkok about 6 pm...depending on the traffic. You visit 2 provinces outside the city of Bangkok. At the first stop, you take an hour boat ride on the floating market. At times it seems like there will be a boat jam but every boat gets through without a problem. You can stop to buy things and sample various food items from vendors on the water. Once you stop, you can also wander through market stalls on ground. Some things are touristy...others are quite nice, especially some of the art work. Second stop is for lunch at the Sampran Riverside Hotel. The Rose Garden Thai village is located here as well. You can wander through the village and either just watch at each station or you can participate. There are food samplings as well. The high light of the Thai village is the cultural song and dance show that is held every afternoon. The bamboo cane dance is particularly thrilling. The afternoon also includes a short drive to see both an elephant and crocodile show. Aey was my guide. She is a very gentle person, knowledgeable as well. She paces the day very well, always making sure you have water and bathroom breaks..
